Our work looks like this:
How do I create a Vocab Pic?
1. Go to Compfight or Creative Commons Search under our Research tab.
2. Search for a word that could represent your word:
cascade: flowing downward — could be long hair flowing down
IMPORTANT: On the left, be sure to click “Creative Commons.”
3. Download the medium picture.
3a. In Chrome, on the Progress Bar at the bottom, click the triangle and choose “Open.” It will open in Preview on the Mac.
3b. Copy the source code from the compfight or creative commons image. You’ll use this later.
4. In Preview, go to Tools —> Annotate —> Add Text.
Add Text — Your spelling, vocabulary word
5. Upload to your blog– and include this:
Title: Vocabulary yourword
Tag: Vocabulary, Picture, yourcodename
Category: Your class, vocabulary
Insert your image.
Write the meaning of the word.
Tell why you chose the picture — how does it show your word meaning?
CITE YOUR SOURCE:
Go to HTML (tap on post at top right)
Go to bottom of post.
Add the citation – the source by pasting the source code.
And there you have it ! A Vocabulary Picture
