I wanted to tell the story of time with the grandkids. Our two favorite activities are visiting the “bat cave” up the hill from us and creating art work.
I included details:
where: bat cave, bridge, dusty hill, creek, home, art cave, Gramma’s cottage
what: bats hide, chalk families, painted flowers
strong verbs: hide, hike, balanced, racing
I described sights:
hike up the dusty hill
balanced on the small elm tree limb,
racing home
I connected the bats hiding in a cave and us hiding in our art cave.
I could have included sounds:
laughter while racing
softly flowing creek
