Whales can swim 24 hours a day to their winter home. But their home is in Mexico Baja Peninsula. Whales also take their time getting to their homes. When mothers give birth their baby is like 2,000 pound babies each. New moms are training babies to get ready for the first migration in 4 to 6 weeks.
The whales’ journey is more than 5,000 miles from Mexico Baja Peninsula. The first north bound whales may already have reached Alaska. They migrate every day each year by doing something different each month. Like say it was May: they are going to gather up and go some where else other then Mexico Baja Peninsula. But that was just an example for something to show you.
Or if it was June like in the summer they would go to the ocean and stay there until Summer is over and then they can go back to the regular place where they came from.
I think they have to go through cold water because in the winter the water gets cold. Based on the fact that Arctic whales who are pregnant rush to the breeding grounds then the Antarctic whales probably also rush to the breeding grounds.
The whales show us to keep going and not give up even if there are obstacles, like traveling 5,000 miles every day and try to be like the whales.
Effect: That the whales are very hungry
Cause: So the whales eat up to 2,400 pounds whenever they are hungry.
Effect: So the babies swim more and exercise more to get stronger every day and not grow up to be weak.
Cause: the babies are very very very weak nowadays if they don’t exercise or swim more to get stronger.
