April is Poetry Month
What poetry can you write? What is your favorite poem? Let’s have some fun — with facts and fantasy. We invite our blog readers to try this also, and, if possible, comment with a link to your audio presentation.
Watch for another post: A Poem in Your Pocket — Add the title and author of your favorite poem; include a link to it if you find it online.
Let’s read and recite some poems — in class and on the Net. This is an optional activity.
Choose a site from the list below. Read at least five poems.
Choose one you like the best to copy into a Google Presentation. Be sure to copy the URL, Title, Author to place on a credits slide.
Choose some pictures to fit your poem. Remember to put the URL and title of each picture on your credits slide.
Decide how to read the poem with a partner or team. Assign parts to each team member.
Practice. Try to make the poem come alive for your audience. Record it using one of our recording methods (see me).
We’ll project your presentation so you can perform your poem.
Comment back here with a reflection:
What was the title and author of your poem?
Why did you choose this poem?
What pictures did you choose?
How do you think the audience felt about your performance?
Enjoy…
