Students, we need to answer this question:
On your class blog, write a post about why students and classes should visit your blog. What will they learn from reading your posts? Are there any skills your class has that they could pass on to other classes and students? Perhaps highlight and link to some great posts your class has already written that newer blogging classes would find useful or interesting.
Since we are just beginning as bloggers, read over our posts so far. Why should someone read our blog? What should we blog about? As always, “What else” could we share to show our ideas and interests? What else?
Write a clear comment here with ideas– remember to suggest more than one by asking yourself, “What else?” Maybe other classes will give us suggestions, too.
We should write about people who inspires us, and what we just learned in writing ,and our reservation, those are some reasons of what i came up with what we could write about on our blog
Loudy, I like the idea of writing about someone who inspires us. Perhaps I could show you how to create a form, and you could survey people on who inspires them. You could then write a post about the different people who inspire our class. What do you think? I think people would like to learn about the reservation. It’s confusing to many people. Think about what you would say, and let me know.
I think that we should write about what we are learning in all of the classes.Another thing that we should blog about is what there is to do on our reservation.Lastly the other thing we should blog about is how fun it is to do our favorite subject in school.
Rista, you have suggested three great topics: 1) the learning in classes, 2) the activities on the reservation, and 3) the activities in our favorite subject. So, what is your favorite subject?
I think that we should write about what is going around in the world. Also what we can do to help the world. But not only can we do that but it will be fun and interesting. So do not worry just because we are writing about the world it will not be boring. We can blog about what is going on in Japan, we could blog about how world peace is going. We could write about so many things and make them fun and interesting. So what do you think we should blog about?
Tish, I think it is important to write about what is going on in the world because kids have great ideas, and it’s your future! You need to learn about and write about the things happening in the world because you may be able to solve some of the problems in the world, and make new friends doing it. By writing about the world, we’ll find out what other kids think. They may help us understand more. I think you have suggested good topics (Japan, peace) because most of us want to learn more and help more about them. I hope someone answer’s your question!
Why I think we should have people read our blogs is because you could learn about blogging. Or you could learn something else that’s on blogging. So maybe that’s why I think people should read other people’s blogging? Thanks
May, you make an important point: “could learn about blogging.” In fact, that’s part of what our challenge is about — learning about blogging and helping others to blog. Maybe if we become excellent bloggers, we can mentor other kids!
But I would also want to learn about everyone’s list of reasons or rules on blogging. But any way Thanks for reading ours if you guys do.
May, Let’s look for some more lists. I’ll see if I can find some. That’s a great idea. Thanks!
Well people should read our blogs because we have funny stories and some of our stories have very interesting things. We should blog about the happy things on our lives or something like one time I wrote a story about my cute and weird cat. We could show some videos of things we like off the internet lolz! Or we could just tell them about ourselves but not to much to stock us but enough and if they do not like it then they don’t like it.
Aly, I had forgotten about your cat story! I’m sure many of us have interesting and funny stories to share. And we do have many happy things in our lives. Thanks for your ideas.
I think people should visit our blog because we might interest them in many different ways. Like they don’t know about a lot about our community, and they might want to know more about it.
Quill, You’re right. People from big cities might be amazed at what we in the foothills of the Rocky’s can see and do! If we write about our community, we might be able to be better citizens here, too. What do you think?
People should read our blog because the more we get the more we are happier. We should blog about our school, about our reservation
Kimy, What about our school do you think we should share? What do other schools share? This week we will write and comment on many blogs. See what they are writing about, and check back here again.
G’day Eagle Writers,
I didn’t realise your school was part of a reservation.
I think we might do some activities about community for the next student blogging challenge.
Is it alright if I use your idea?
HI tasteach! We love it when people use our ideas. Be sure to share a link with us so we can follow too. Thank you.
Hi Eagles!
A big thank you to all the students who visited our post on 10 reasons to visit our site. We enjoyed your encouraging comments, and took on board the great suggestions.
Now I’ve read your post I’m getting more ideas! Writing about inspirational people sounds interesting, and I’m waiting to hear about a certain cat!
I’ll see what SPUDS can do to match your efforts.
“See” you soon!
Mrs.Bird
Thank you Mrs. Bird, We are trying to keep up with the challenge, but since we are a writing class and not just a tech class, we are a little behind. Thanks for your patience with us. We’ll keep checking back to your blogs. Sheri Edwards
Thank you for including us in the visits. We will take a trip to other blogs, too.
Dear Ms. Edwards,
I like how you had students comment on your post, and how you responded to each of their comments. It’s a great way to have them practice making comments, while having something important to share. They wrote great ideas for why others should visit your blog.
Most of Mrs. Martinez’s students are still composing their post for their class on why others should visit their blog. They are a reading and writing class, but I’ve been able to come in once a week to help with the process. It’s exciting.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Watanabe

Tracy, thanks for stopping by; we have quite a few more blogs to read, thanks to the recommendations of Mrs. Martinez’s Class Blog. Anyone reading this comment should click the link and read their reviews; you’ll be challenged to read on and write more.
Thank you for thinking of us. We are excited to be part of the challenge. We will need to read, read, read the other blogs to keep up. Thank you.
If miss W ever comes to my community I think that she should vissit the Cheese Cake Factory. If you vissit the Cheese Cake Factory then thats alot of cake for you.The last time Iwas there Ihad a reguler piece of cheese cake and a drink. But they dont just have reguler cheese cake they cheese cake with a bunch of different topping and they even have some different tipes of cake to so if miss W does come vissit my community she should go to the Cheese Cake Factory.
Mearo, The Cheese Cake Factory is definitely a place I would go! I imagine they would have lemon cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, and blueberry cheesecake. Yum! Around here we have a special berry called a huckleberry. It’s like a blueberry, but smaller and grows up in the woods in the hills. Our restaurants sometimes serve huckleberry cheesecake! Thanks for sharing this delicious place to go! Ms. E.
